i enjoy digging into the rev model of businesses
dexscreener business model is simple and high-margin and sometimes its the quietest business making the most money
the geniusness lies in the revenue model
just to name a few others:
@birdeye_so: strong on SOL charts, wallet analytics, and launchpad data. it runs both a consumer interface and an institutional data business.
@GeckoTerminal: dex charts and new-pair tracking, @coingecko itself also monetizes listings and premium data.
@DEXToolsApp: closest direct competitor. it sells token profile updates, ads, and featured placements. revenue is much smaller than
@dexscreener (tens to low hundreds of thousands per month recently, ~$16M all-time), and it has a token $DEXT
@gmgnai: multi-chain memecoin terminal + telegram bot. its one of the highest-earning tools after the launchpads, with recent 30-day revenue in the $20 to 30M range.
@AxiomExchange: olana-focused trading app/terminal. adopts a similar fee model (roughly 1% before cashbacks/referrals). 30d revenue around $20–24M.
@fomo: recently did a 75M raise, fast-growing social/trading app that has taken meaningful Solana volume share and posts multi-million weekly revenue at times. a sinkhole of massive trading liquidity, with eyes on integration to new chains that bring huge meme trading to the chain.
@Tether and @circle: interest on the Tteasuries and cash backing USDT/USDC. combined they pull in hundreds of millions per month. this is the largest and quietest revenue stream in crypto.
@Polymarket: prediction-market fees. consistently in the mid-teens of millions per 30 days.
@trondao: we love @justinsuntron, pure genius here. earning from network fees, largely driven by USDT transfers.
