This led him to build one of the first applications on Aptos, and post-FTX, Movement Chain was born.

Movement is the first Move EVM layer 2 on Ethereum.

Technical Marvel: How Does Movement Work?
Rush explained that Movement built Fractal, an EVM interpreter that runs on top of Move. Similar to how Solana has Solang and Neon, Fractal is integrated into the Move VM, allowing Solidity code to compile into Move bytecode.
This setup brings the parallelization benefits of Move to Ethereum, enabling tens of thousands of transactions per second (TPS), a significant leap from the current limitations.
